Ketoconazole is an antifungal. It controls the Malassezia yeast behind dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis[1]. A small study also found ketoconazole 2% shampoo improved hair density in men with pattern loss, which is why derms sometimes add it to a regimen[2].
Filipino users say the trick is contact time: lather, leave it on for about five minutes (babad), then rinse, two to three times a week[3]. Shopee buyers ask which Nizoral is legit because bottle fonts differ[4].

Is it fake?“Fake ba yung Kirkland sa Shopee?”
Fakes are a real risk, and the PH FDA has issued advisories against unregistered minoxidil and finasteride products. Check the product on the FDA verification portal, buy from a pharmacy or an official store, and inspect seals, batch and expiry. The home bleach test cannot rule out a diluted fake.[5][6][7]

Questions people ask
Is Nizoral good for hair loss?
It is best for dandruff and seb derm. For pattern loss it is a modest add-on, not a stand-alone treatment[2]. See the full guide.
