Hair loss treatment cost in the Philippines: every peso, side by side
Most people treating pattern hair loss in the Philippines spend between ₱600 to ₱900 a month for Regroe 5% alone and ₱2,997 a month for a telehealth oral combo, plus ₱400 to ₱1,000 per derm consult. Clinic procedures cost far more: PRP runs about ₱10,000 a session and a transplant of about 3,000 grafts ₱160,000 to ₱200,000, based on user reports[1][2]. Because the medicines only work while you take them, the monthly figure matters more than the first purchase.
How to read these prices
Every figure on this page comes from one place in our code, with a source and the month we last checked it. Many are user reports from r/PhHairloss, because Filipino buyers post real receipts there. Some are brand sites or third-party guides. Each table says which. Prices move, so treat these as a guide and check at the counter.
We do not sell any of these products. Minoxidil 6%, oral minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride are prescription medicines in the Philippines[3][4]. Talk to a doctor before starting any of them.

Topical minoxidil
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regroe minoxidil 5%, 60ml | ₱600 to ₱900per 60ml bottle | ₱600 to ₱900 | User report |
| Regroe minoxidil, 120ml | ₱2,250per 120ml bottle | ₱750 | User report |
| Kirkland minoxidil foam (imported) | ₱800 to ₱900per monthly can | ₱800 to ₱900 | User report |
Regroe 5% from Watsons and Mercury Drug is the default. At the labelled 1ml twice a day[5], a 60ml bottle lasts about a month. The 120ml bottle is better value; one user reports it lasts about three months[6]. Kirkland foam is imported and carries more fake risk[7]. See Regroe vs Kirkland and the minoxidil guide.
Finasteride: branded 1mg
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stercia finasteride 1mg, Mercury Drug | ₱60per tablet | ₱1,800 | User report |
| Propecia finasteride 1mg, Mercury or Watsons | ₱85 to ₱89per tablet | ₱2,550 to ₱2,670 | User report |
The labelled hair loss dose is 1mg daily[8], so a month is 30 tablets. Users report Stercia at Mercury Drug as cheaper than Propecia[9]. Watsons tags its finasteride listings prescription required[4]. Read finasteride and finasteride side effects first.
Finasteride: generic 5mg (the DIY market)
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generic finasteride 5mg, small botika | ₱9 to ₱12per tablet | Not monthly | User report |
| Generic finasteride 5mg, Xalmeds online | ₱15per tablet | Not monthly | User report |
| Generic finasteride 5mg, Generika or TGP | ₱21.75 to ₱26per tablet | Not monthly | User report |
| TGP Fisteride, same tablet at two branches | ₱20 to ₱45per tablet | Not monthly | User report |
| Quartered generic 5mg, three times a week (community arithmetic) | ₱100per month (over) | ₱100 to ₱120 | User report |
Generic 5mg finasteride is made for an enlarged prostate (BPH), not hair loss. It is still the cheapest finasteride in the country, and users report buying it at Generika, TGP and small botikas without a prescription[10]. The same tablet has been reported at very different prices at two TGP branches, so it pays to ask.
Oral minoxidil
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oral minoxidil 2.5mg, resellers | ₱1,200 to ₱1,999per 100 tablets | Not monthly | User report |
| Dima oral minoxidil 2.5mg | ₱1,500per 30 tablets | ₱1,500 | Third-party guide |
| Dailys oral minoxidil | ₱2,499per month | ₱2,499 | Brand site |
Oral minoxidil is prescribed off-label for hair loss. Reseller tablets are cheaper but often have no clear brand, which users question directly[12]. Telehealth services include a consult. See the oral minoxidil guide.
Telehealth plans
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dima finasteride 1mg | ₱1,500per 30 tablets | ₱1,500 | Third-party guide |
| GoRocky finasteride (2024 Facebook ad) | ₱2,100per month | ₱2,100 | User report |
| Dailys oral minoxidil plus finasteride | ₱2,997per month | ₱2,997 | Brand site |
| Dima order with a consult where no doctor joined | ₱4,000one order (about) | Not monthly | User report |
| &you add-on Care plan (weight loss program) | ₱599add-on | Not monthly | User report |
Telehealth prices bundle the doctor, the pharmacy and delivery. The Dima figures come from a third-party cost guide[13], the GoRocky figure from a 2024 ad a user posted[14], and Dailys from its own site[15]. One user reports paying about ₱4,000 for a Dima order where no doctor joined the consult[16]. The &you add-on is from its weight loss program, and is listed because users flagged it as a fee they did not expect[17].
Telehealth vs derm plus generics“Dima looks AI generated. Don't buy from this store.”
Telehealth brands charge a premium over the pharmacy route in exchange for a consult and delivery. Compare the monthly price, whether a named licensed doctor sees you, where the medicine is sourced, and any extra plan fees. A virtual derm consult plus a pharmacy prescription is the cheapest legitimate route for many people.[16][17][15]
Consults and clinics
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dermatologist consult | ₱400 to ₱1,000per consult | Not monthly | User report |
| Clinique de Paris in-house topical after consult | ₱9,250per box | Not monthly | User report |
| Svenson treatment package | ₱46,000 to ₱60,000per package | Not monthly | User report |
| Total reported Svenson spend with little result | ₱50,000 to ₱120,000total | Not monthly | User report |
A PDS board-certified dermatologist consult costs ₱400 to ₱1,000, or nothing with an HMO at an accredited hospital, users report[18]. Hair centre packages are a different scale. Users report Svenson packages of ₱46,000 to ₱60,000[19] and total spending of ₱50,000 to ₱120,000 with little result[20]. These are user reports, not audited figures. See clinics in our treatment guide.
Procedures: PRP, exosomes and transplants
| Item | Price | Per month | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| PRP for hair | ₱10,000per session (about) | Not monthly | User report |
| Belo ExoScalp exosome treatment | ₱19,800per session (from) | Not monthly | Brand site |
| Hair transplant, about 3,000 grafts | ₱160,000 to ₱200,000per procedure | Not monthly | User report |
| Crown Hair (Banawe) quote, grafts not stated | ₱135,000per procedure | Not monthly | User report |
| Hair transplant price range across PH clinics | ₱70,000 to ₱750,000per procedure | Not monthly | Third-party guide |
PRP usually means several sessions, so multiply the session price by the course your clinic quotes. Users see it as an add-on to medicines, not a replacement[1]. Transplant prices vary widely by clinic and graft count. See PRP, exosomes and hair transplant cost.
Telehealth vs derm vs DIY
| Route | What you pay | What you get | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Derm plus pharmacy | ₱400 to ₱1,000 per consult, then pharmacy prices such as ₱1,800 a month and ₱600 to ₱900 a month | A diagnosis, possible blood tests, a written prescription you can fill anywhere | Derms who sell their own products[21] |
| Telehealth | ₱1,500 a month to ₱2,997 a month | Online consult and delivered medicine in one price | Consults that are a form, not a doctor[16]; add-on fees[17] |
| DIY generics | Per tablet prices from ₱9 to ₱12 to ₱21.75 to ₱26 | The lowest cost | No diagnosis, a BPH-strength tablet, fake risk[22], no one to call about side effects |
A sensible middle path many users describe: see a derm once for a diagnosis and prescription, then buy at a pharmacy and follow up yearly or when something changes. Compare services in online hair loss doctors.
- Ask for the full monthly price, including consult, delivery and any care plan.
- Ask who the doctor is, and check their PRC licence and PDS membership.
- Ask which pharmacy supplies the medicine, and what brand it is.
- Ask whether you can cancel or order once without a subscription.
Lifetime cost: the maths nobody shows you
Minoxidil and finasteride work only while you use them[5][8]. So the real price is the monthly price times the years you plan to stay on it. Some simple ways to think about it:
- Regroe 5% alone: ₱600 to ₱900 a month. Ten years is 120 bottles.
- Regroe 120ml: ₱750 a month on the user-reported three months per bottle[6]. Ten years is about 40 bottles.
- Stercia 1mg plus Regroe 5%: ₱1,800 a month plus ₱600 to ₱900 a month. That is 30 tablets and one bottle every month.
- Propecia 1mg plus Regroe 5%: ₱2,550 to ₱2,670 a month plus ₱600 to ₱900 a month.
- A telehealth oral combo: ₱2,997 a month, every month you stay on it.
A transplant at ₱160,000 to ₱200,000 looks like a one-off, but most surgeons expect you to stay on medication afterwards to protect the hair around the grafts[23]. Add the monthly medicine cost on top. A hair centre package at ₱46,000 to ₱60,000 buys months, not years. Run your own numbers in the calculator above.
Cheaper is fine when it is the same medicine from an accountable seller. Cheaper is not fine when it means a bottle with no registration. Check before you buy with our is it legit guide, and read the side effects hub so you know what to watch for. Start with the hair loss treatment ladder if you are not sure what you need yet.

Is telehealth cheaper than a dermatologist?
It depends on the plan. Some telehealth prices sit close to branded pharmacy prices, for example ₱1,500 a month for Dima finasteride against ₱1,800 a month for Stercia. A derm consult at ₱400 to ₱1,000 is a one-off cost on top of pharmacy prices. Compare the full monthly price, including add-ons.
