Seborrheic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition linked to Malassezia yeast. It causes greasy yellowish flakes and itch on the scalp, brows, sideburns and around the nose[1].
PH heat and sweat make it worse; one office worker described hiding flakes under a hoodie[2]. Medicated shampoos with ketoconazole, selenium sulfide or zinc pyrithione, used with contact time and rotated, are the usual first step.
